Terms of Use

Use the tool responsibly

These terms describe the current personal software project and its local processing and upload workflow.

1. The software

Twitch Auto Clipper is a personal, local command-line tool that monitors Twitch live streams, processes finished VODs into short vertical videos, and optionally uploads them to the operator's own YouTube channel. Features not present in the repository, including TikTok, Instagram and hosted cloud processing, are not included in the current scope.

2. Your content and rights

You are responsible for every video, audio track, transcript, chat replay, image, title, and description you process or upload. You must have the rights, permissions, licenses, and consents necessary to use and republish that material. The tool does not grant permission to republish Twitch streams or other people's content.

3. Third-party platforms

Your use of Twitch, YouTube, Google APIs, Gemini, yt-dlp, TwitchDownloaderCLI, and any other third-party service is governed by that service's terms and policies. You must follow the YouTube Terms of Service, YouTube Community Guidelines, applicable Twitch rules, copyright law, privacy law, and any other applicable requirements.

For YouTube uploads, you authorize the upload through OAuth. With the manual upload command you choose the title, description and privacy setting; if you enable automatic upload, videos are uploaded with the visibility you configured (private by default) and with generated titles and descriptions, and you are responsible for reviewing them and for what is published. Before an upload, you certify that the content complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and does not violate another person's copyright or privacy rights.

4. YouTube API Services

The application uses YouTube API Services only for the implemented upload flow. It does not automate likes, comments, subscriptions, views, or other artificial engagement. YouTube API Services use is also subject to the YouTube API Services Developer Policies and API Services Terms.

5. No warranty

The software is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Processing can fail, transcription can be inaccurate, framing can miss important content, third-party APIs can change or become unavailable, and an upload can be rejected. You are responsible for reviewing generated media and metadata before publishing.

6. Availability and changes

This is not a hosted service and no uptime or support commitment is made. The project may change, stop, or remove features. These terms may be updated when the project or its dependencies change.
